The Company was incorporated as a Private Limited Company on 15th January 2002 under the company’s act no. 17 of 1982. Later the Company was re-incorporated under the revised companies act no. 07 of 2007 on 11th August 2009.

What are Our Chronicles?

As a perfect testament to the old saying that, all great things have small beginnings, AMSK commenced operations at the turn of the 21st century as a sub-contractor of once celebrated Korean construction company ‘Keangnam Enterprises’.

From the initial sub-contract works, the name of the company became quite distinguished among the local construction community mainly due to the praises that AMSK received from project employers and stakeholders who became quite impressed by the quality of the workmanship, on-time execution and strict compliance to employer requirements/specifications. So naturally, it didn’t take much time to preach the good word of mouth among the construction industry in regards to the capabilities and capacity of AMSK to execute construction endeavors within a satisfactory time, cost and quality parameters.

Though, an infant among the giants of the construction industry at that time, we were reached by some of the most prominent names in the industry such as Keangnam Enterprises Limited & China Harbour Engineering Company Limited, who has immediately assigned us as their nominated main sub-contractor for some prominent and suitably massive scale building and highway construction projects, contract prices of which exceeded Rs. 1,800 million cumulatively at that time.

With the company gaining momentum with the collaboration with an international construction consortium, it was time for a pragmatic shift into the mainstream construction realm and it was at this point of time that the Managing Director of AMSK decided to compete in the public procurement scene with more prominent local construction organizations. With a confident grasp in the public procurement scene, AMSK managed to become one of the few construction organizations that we’re fortunate to obtain the C-1 grade in the first attempt and without having to upgrade from a lower grade to a higher grade.

What Is Our Current Capacity?

AMSK has gathered over 300 professionally qualified, technically competent and adequately experienced Chartered Engineers Surveyors Technical Officers Quantity Surveyors, etc. as the staff of the company and continues to be a prominent organization in relation to staff credentials.

AMSK now bears the strength of over 1,000 efficient and hardworking workforce most of whom are above average in terms of training workmanship in various construction activities in comparison to run-of-the-mill labor.

As of May 2019, the Company is equipped with a tremendous fleet of construction vehicles, machinery, plant and equipment, which makes AMSK eligible to compete for the most prominent and largest-scale construction endeavors. The estimated value of the machinery fleet is over 1,000 million Sri Lankan rupees.

AMSK now owns a fleet of construction plants, including several concrete batching plants, asphalt concrete batching plants, large scale crusher plants as well as a fully-equipped network of workshops to aid and complement our on-going construction projects.

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Web site of AMSK Constructions (Pvt) Ltd., which is a dynamic and multiple awards winning construction organization in Sri Lanka and our company is specialized in the construction of highways, multi-storied complex building, bridges, hydropower plants, irrigation structures and other myriads of construction disciplines.

From humble beginnings as a small, yet ambitious sub-contractor, our organization has come a long journey and along the way, we managed to accomplish several significant milestones, some of which are ground-breaking in the sense that we were the first in Sri Lanka to accomplish some feats relevant to particular construction projects. When looking back to the remarkable transformation we have gone through over the last decade, I humbly believe that our journey thus far would have been much more treacherous if not we received the support and cooperation from esteemed government authorities such as Road Development Authority, Urban Development Authority and also from prestigious international construction giants in the likes of China Harbor Engineering Company Limited and Keangnam Corporation. I also believe that our outstanding staff, their steadfast spirit and exemplary team work tremendously contributed to the success story of AMSK.

Since the inauguration of our corporate endeavors, we managed to win the hearts and trust of our valued customers and our project stakeholders through our emphasis on total quality management, on-time delivery of completed infrastructures, exemplary workmanship of project deliverables, sustainable and environmentally friendly construction approaches, the emphasis of securing occupational health and safety of all employees and interested parties, contribution to economic growth through generation of over 1,500 employment opportunities and through our matured approach to corporate social responsibility.

Today AMSK is not only a widely renowned and esteemed construction contractor in Sri Lanka but also a force of international identity due to our cooperation with some of the most prominent construction consortiums in the world. Moreover, pursuant to the great contemporary changes that are occurring throughout the global construction industry. I am in the view that we must embrace change through leadership, courage, commitment, and open culture and I also believe that the change leads us to transformation, which on the other hand demands trust and collaboration as we engage with diverse stakeholders to find the best solutions that will enable us to thrive at the forefront of this highly versatile and equally vulnerable industrial landscape.

Company Registrations

AMSK has qualified for the CIDA (formerly ICTAD) Grade- C-1 (for Building & Highway Construction) in the year 2010 and recently qualified for the supra grade CS-1 for the Highways construction sector.
